Blog post 3

What topics did you brainstorm for the activities in class? What interests you? Are you going outside the topic of Ethics in Higher Education or staying within the course theme?

I like to search about religious beliefs. However, I believe that I will have to quote from outside sources such as the Bible, Quran and atheist philosophers. Therefore, I have changed my mind and I searched about the food diet of students on campus vs off campus because body health can impact students either negatively or positively on their academic performance.

What is your research question and what strategies did you use to arrive at that specific issue? What is the overall theme and topic for your issue? (Think back to the graphic organizer activity from class)

My research question is how does students diet varies on campus vs off campus. I thought about this issue because I used to live on campus and now I live off campus and I have noticed that my food diet has changed as well as my physical activity.
Who are some potential stakeholders you could direct your argument towards? Make a list. Which one appeals to you more? Would you rather persuade an unconvinced stakeholder, a resistant stakeholder, or a stakeholder that agrees with your cause? Remember: if the stakeholder agrees with you, you need to convince them why they should implement your ideas.

Student dining services, food and nutrition department and Dr. Frank are all potential stake holders. However, I think that the dining service play a bigger role in preparing students meals. Therefore, I expect them to be able to help students to make healthier diet choices and raise awareness among those who live on campus as well as those who live off campus. I would try to convince a stake holder that agree with me over those who disagree with me because it will be easier to deliver my message and my solution will see the light faster than if I chose a stake holder that opposite my opinion.

What are your concerns moving forward into P3? How might you address those concerns? Are there things we could do in class to help your writing process?

I am concerned about the structure of P3. However, I believe that if we looked at examples of P3 paper in class it will be easier to understand and follow.
